BYLAWS, PHILSOPHY, & MISSION

The program philosophy and core values of the Owensboro Youth Hockey Association (OYHA) align with USA Hockey, the governing body for youth ice hockey in the United States. We emphasize the development of our players' character and hockey skills by establishing and realizing individual goals while working together with their teammates toward common goals. We emphasize the importance of having fun while working hard to master skills that are necessary for a player to be successful throughout their career. Our approach balances the desire to win with the importance of building individual and team success as athletes advance through the program. A strong sense of personal fulfillment and recognizable team development in OYHA players is central to our program at all levels as we seek to build and sustain youth hockey in Owensboro. 1/20/2023
