Mullins Gold Star Tribute
Specialist Brandon Scott Mullins was an outstanding hockey player for Owensboro Hockey League. Brandon played Owensboro hockey from middle school through his high school career. He was the captain of his team during his senior year and won other leadership awards.
Brandon listed in the United States Military in 2008 and was stations in Fairbanks, Alaska with the 1/25th Infantry Division, 3rd Battalion,1st Striker Brigade. Brandon exhibited courage, loyalty, and resilience through his life. During America’s longest war, The Global War on Terror,SPC Brandon Scott Mullins paid the ultimate Sacrifice on August 25th, 2011 in Afghanistan when his unit was attacked by an IED.He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart in addition to other medals while serving his country.
