STEPS TO HEAD COACH
KNOW WHICH LEVELS & LEAGUES ARE AVAILABLE TO COACH
OYHA will need a Head Coach and coaching staff at each level of hockey offered within the recreational league and travel league. The recreational league takes place year round with Summer League and House League. While the travel league runs from tryouts in May through the end of March.

1. USA HOCKEY Requirements
Once you have accepted a Head Coach position you will need to complete the following USA Hockey requirements.

- REQUIRED FOR APPLICATION PROCESS
- USA Hockey Background Screen
- REQUIRED FOR APPLICATION PROCESS
- SafeSport Training

- REQUIRED PRIOR TO TAKING THE ICE FOR PRACTICE
- Foundations of Player Development Pre-requisite
- This will be included in the first part of your Age-Specific Module.
- Online Age-Specific Module(s)
- Complete only for the age level of play you are coaching.

- Find, register and attend the required certification clinic.
